People for the American Way - Public Library Internet Use Policies

This survey shows 95 percent of public libraries have policies to manage the Internet.
Public Library Internet Use Policies - Research Papers from the Commission on Online Child Protection (COPA)
- One of several studies prepared for these hearings used content analysis to determine how much content on the Internet actually contains offensive material using the Recreational Software Advisory Council's Internet rating system. Of 1,067 web pages randomly selected, the authors found 95.1% registered minimally on the scale (not objectionable) and only 3.6% had objectionable material (nudity, violence, language, sex). Several research papers are presented.
